2019 Art Show Closed

Camberwell again cemented its position as the country's preeminent art show in 2019.

The show recorded record crowds and strong sales over its 10 days from June 28 to July 7. Patrons were praiseworthy of the professional display, the quality and diversity of the 1350 works from the cream of Australian artists.

The show commenced with a packed Friday Gala where patrons over gourmet finger food and good wine rushed to buy. The night culminated with the presentation of $40,000 in prizes including the $20,000 Best In Show.

Work will now commence by the Rotary Club of Camberwell planning for the 2020 Camberwell Art Show. Dates in late June / July will be announced soon. All money raised goes to our many local and international causes

2019 Judges Awards and Notes

The very high standard of work in this extensive exhibition has been a significant challenge to the judges in determining these awards. Our congratulations to all the artists represented.

2019 Best in Show

Warwick Fuller with his work "Ephemeral Light" has taken out the Herald Sun Award for Best in Show. Warwick picks up a $20,000 cheque in recognition of this outstanding achievement.

The major prize winners were presented at a packed Gala Opening on Friday evening. In total $40,000 was awarded to 14 artists this year for a broad range of categories.

The 3 judges spent 8 hours on the Thursday before opening reviewing the 1360 works and deliberating their decisions. Given the scale of the Camberwell Art Show and the quality on display, it was quite a task for the judges to arrive at a collective decision on the 14 works to receive the highest accolades.
