Zhonghua Fan

Biography

Zhonghua was born in the 1960s in Inner Mongolia, China. As a young boy, Zhonghua had a love for art and regularly enjoyed spending his mornings with a sketch book capturing the scenes of bustling train stations. This passion later led him to pursue a degree in Fine Arts majoring in oil painting.
After immigrating to Australia with his family in 2001, Zhonghua has largely devoted his time to painting the landscapes and seascapes of Australia. He is particularly inspired by the role of natural light in these landscapes and his paintings capture the subject in its rawest light.
Zhonghua regularly holds collective and solo art exhibitions and currently runs a children’s art class in Eastern Melbourne. His online gallery is www.gallery247.com.au/zhonghua-fan .
A number of his works are in private collections at Melbourne as well as Western Australia.
