I have been painting for approximately fifteen years working with watercolour on Yupo paper and acrylic on canvas. I paint landscapes and still life.
My work may be best described as semi abstract. I attempt to create familiar yet ambiguous images. With landscape I hope to show immensity, fragility and often places shaped or subsumed by water.
By working with watercolour on yupo the action between them often means unintended consequence's making me an initiator or and responder rather than master. I like the sense of experiment this creates as it keeps me on my toes, constantly learning.
