  • Biography

I was born in Central London and moved to Australia in my early twenties. Now a ‘Fellow’ of the Design Institute of Australia, my formal Architectural Design training now compliments my Painting in terms of a confident free-flowing style, technique and dynamically considered composition. For example, I creatively express the components in my paintings to exhibit a dynamic character of their own within the scene depicting trees and buildings expressing emotions or activity beyond just ‘being’. My portraits are painted to show 'something going on' behind the eyes.

Oils and Watercolours are my preferred painting mediums with subject matter broadly encompassing Engineering, Cityscapes, Sea and Landscapes, Life Drawing and Portraits, painted both ‘en Plein Air’ and in the Studio, in Australia and overseas.

My work now forms part of various collections in the U.K., U.S., France, Canada and China as well as Australia.
