Stefan Gevers

Biography

Stefan Gevers takes a contemporary approach to working with watercolour on paper. His interest in the natural environment takes us deeper into the story of the landscape. Zooming in to examining that place and to shed light on something that is invisible and part of the “bigger picture”. Remembered landscapes, moments in time and place and memories of an autobiographical experience. It is an “in-out” experience for the viewer of partially observed landscapes becoming pictorial elements.

Stefan’s work has been collected by the Victorian & Queensland State Libraries, Artbank the NAB collection, and numerous private collections throughout Australia and Europe.
