Rita: Melbourne-Based Oil Painter

Rita is a Melbourne-based artist specializing in oil paintings. She finds solace and joy in capturing the essence of animals, interpreting their unique personalities through each expressive brushstroke.

Born in Changhua, Taiwan, a small and peaceful countryside, Rita’s affinity for the natural world and animals took root early. Raised in this serene environment, she cultivated a deep appreciation for nature's beauty, which continues to influence her artistic expression.

Rita’s journey into the world of art began during her childhood, with a fondness for drawing that gradually developed over the years. However, it was not until moving to Melbourne in 2010 that she truly embarked on her artistic path. Despite not having a formal art degree, Rita dedicated herself to various short-term courses, discovering that painting was more than a hobby – it was her true passion.

In 2016, Rita's artistic endeavors reached a milestone when her works were featured in the prestigious Brighton Art Show, marking a significant step in her artistic journey. As she continues to grow as an artist, Rita is planning to launch her own website in 2024 to showcase her work. She looks forward to sharing her creations with a wider audience, hoping they serve as a source of inspiration and evoke emotions that resonate deeply.
