  • Biography

My interest in natural forms has been shaped by time spent bushwalking and rock climbing in southern Australia. My outdoors experience influences my paintings. I'm intrigued with the wonderful textures and colour play in the Australian landscape.

I enjoy creating works on paper using watercolour, inks, graphite, and pencil. I'm fascinated by the way that coloured pigments interact with paper. Drawing with ink offers a wonderfully tactile experience. Pens are an interesting tool for mark making, responsive to the way they are wielded as well as to the substrate. Drawing with a pen provides me with opportunities to explore a subject differently to watercolour.
