Biography

IMy work is a blend of representation and abstraction  as I aim to capture the essence of the subject not merely a literal representation. I work in a spontaneous manner , responding to shape colour and tonal values before me and  use a limited palette to keep the work harmonious.
My work has been exhibited in group shows in Australia and in 2018 was a featured artist in the Art Lounge at The Cambridge Studio Gallery Collingwood. A finalist in the Cambridge Studio Gallery portrait prize in 2015 and 2017, finalist in the Southern  buoy Studio portrait prize in 2019 and 2020, a finalist in Art Lovers Australia prize in 2021.
