Biography

Artist Biography.
 
Lynn was born and grew up in Sydney’s Northern Beaches, moving to the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne in her early 20’s. Currently living in Wonga Park, on the edge of the beautiful and artistically inspiring Yarra Valley.
An emerging artist, she has been artistic all her life. Now that her sons are in their 20’s, she is having fun focusing on developing her art practise.
She is striving to move away from the exacting nature of her training as an Interior Design draftsperson, to a more artistic impressionistic style to emanate her favourite artists such as Monet and Van Gogh.
Working across all genres, her favourite medium is soft Pastels, however she also is enjoying exploring painting with Acrylics and watercolours.
Lynn has attended many art classes, including pastel classes with renown Pastellist Janet Hayes and loves extending and challenging her abilities by exploring new ideas and subjects, using different methods and styles.
Inspired by beautiful colour combinations, light and shade, atmosphere, movement and textures, she aims to create artwork that brings a sense of calm, wonder and beauty to the onlooker.                                                                    @lynnbaxterart
