Portrait painting is a major part of Lulu’s art practice. Her passion for oil painting using traditional techniques embraces landscapes through to figurative themes,
Her work is held in collections in France, England, New Caledonia and New Zealand.
She recently featured in the Fairfax media -  Sydney Morning Herald/The Age throughout Australia for her Archibald portrait of scientist, Hans Brunner,  who helped exonerate Lindy Chamberlain. She has also featured in local media.

In November of last year she won the prestigious Victorian Artists Society Maritime Exhibition and the Thomas Somerscales Trophy.
Earlier in the year she won the Victorian Artists Society Summer Exhibition Curator’s Choice Best Painting. She was also a finalist in the John Dudley Portrait Prize. Her work has featured in magazines and media throughout the year.
She recently helped save the 50-year-old Australian Guild of Realist Artists (AGRA), which will now run nationally representing all parts of Australia including New South Wales, and helped create the hard-copy AGRA Magazine. She also helped save a 50-year-old life drawing group 18 months ago which meets weekly offering opportunities for drawing and painting. Lulu teaches oil painting at McClelland Guild of Artists.
