Biography

Following on from a career as a successful Landscape Designer, producing award winning gardens for over 20 years, I now continue my story telling approach through my works on canvas, drawing upon my life-long passion and connection to Australia - from Salt Lakes, Arid Landscapes to Iconic Mountains (1) that have been home to the longest continuous culture in the world.

With a highly trained eye for observing nature and its surroundings, my paintings invite a tactile like experience to landscape through the inclusion of sand, ash and earth pigments.

My current art practice is an evolution; from pastoral themes depicting farm animals, topographical views of sheep in their rural settings (2) to more recent works exploring the unique colour palettes and textural qualities in the Australian landscape from Uluru to the surreal Neapolitan colours and textures of Hutt Lagoon’s salt lakes.
