Lucia Roohizadegan is a Melbourne-based artist, illustrator, and author. Very much a labour of love, her water-mixable oil paintings are a celebration of light, movement, and colour, and are created meticulously by hand. Finding endless inspiration from nature and literature, her painting style ranges from realistic to semi-abstract.
Alongside participating in various community art projects from a young age, including The Centenarian Portrait Project by Teenagers, she has received numerous art and writing awards. She is a two-time major award and People’s Choice Award winner of St Vincent de Paul Society’s Just Art competition and has had artworks exhibited at the Belconnen Arts Centre in Canberra, The Stables, and Glen Eira City Council Gallery.
In December 2023, her debut children’s picture book Ohromný Malý žralok, which she co-authored with Katarina Roohizadegan and illustrated, was published and distributed in major bookstores across Slovakia, Czechia, and Poland.
