Art was studied throughout school years up to year 12 and continued with life drawing at Council of Adult education, then oil painting with tutor Paul McDonald Smith at his Essendon class. After raising a family, Jude, in 2006 returned to art at Whitehorse Arts Association, where she was tutored by Alan Close in all mediums and subject matter, including life drawing and portraiture. Whilst still taking classes at Whitehorse, in2009 she also began watercolour classes with Malcolm Beattie at Peninsula Art Society, After another year she began tonal oil classes with Malcolm Beattie at his Camberwell studio and continued his class for the next 7 years. Her love of art continues today and she is a member of Whitehorse Arts Association, AGRA, Victorian Artists Society and also a member of Melbourne Society of Women Painters and Sculptors. Jude has received many awards including H/C Box Hill Rotary, H/C Mountview Art Show, awards in AGRA Camberwell seasonal exhibitions and qualifying for AGRA's Australian Art Excellence Awards. Many other awards have been given by Whitehorse Arts Association and Box Hill Art Group. She has also been an exhibitor an sold in many Rotary Art Shows including The Camberwell Art Show.
