Painting for me is an adventure into the unknown, the mysterious and unattainable and therefore always different, exciting and never boring. I love the intuitive possibilities of the abstract concept and its freedom for interpretation in both acrylic and oil paint. I dream painting.
I began painting around 5 years ago and my art practice has become my passion. Nothing before has ever held my curiosity or determination to improve and grow than painting.
I am inspired and awed by the small things in nature, such as the lichen growing on the trees right up to giant waterfalls and everything in between - life in all its miraculous variations.
I first exhibited my work in 2022 with Eaglemont Artisans then Whitehorse Art Show and have continued exhibiting ever since.
Although I have no formally recognised art education, I have attended many and varied short courses over the years including watercolour, abstract acrylics, wood block and linocut printing. During 2021/2022 I completed online study with the Creative Visionary Program from America by Nicholas Wilton and have continued since as a member of the CVP Academy continuing the learning process.
