IGNATIUS PIMENTA

Biography

Ignatius Pimenta is an artist from India currently in Melbourne visiting family.
He has a Masters degree in Art from Sir J J School of Art in Mumbai, India.

After completing his degree in 1973 Ignatius pursued a profession as a lecturer in Model Art Institute and as an art teacher in St. Augustine's High school in Mumbai.
He has also done professional photography covering weddings and other events for over 45 years.

Ignatius has followed his passion for oil on canvas paintings including portraits, landscapes and abstract art work.

After retiring from full time teaching and professional photography Ignatius tutors students in India for canvas painting, calligraphy and Maharashtra state government art exams, and paints in his leisure time.
