Dianne Gameson graduated in Illustration and Design at Swinburne University before working as an Art Director in Advertising, then freelanced as a designer/illustrator. She then lectured in the Creative Advertising faculty at RMIT University for 13 years. During this time she also pursued a fine art career, working on a series of large abstract painting for clients in the fields of design, advertising and film. She also took a number of drawing commissions, including a collaboration with designers Grant and Mary Featherstone,creating drawings for a 'Babies' exhibition at the Children's Hospital.
She has participated in many group exhibitions. Gasworks Arts Park, Backspace Ballarat, Forty Five Downstairs Melbourne and others.
Her first solo exhibition was at Gasworks Angela Robards Bird Gallery in 2009. Titled 'Fresh', it was a series of 'Plein Air' paintings.
The second at Gasworks in 2015, 'Figurative Musings', shared her passion for the human form in a collection of paintings and digital prints.
Her third in 2018 in 2018, titled 'Homage to the Nude' was at Gasworks with fellow artist, Chantal Stewart.
The fourth at Gasworks in 2022, 'Covid Dreaming' featured landscapes using coloured graphite and liquid wax.
In 2023, she exhibited with fellow artist, Linda Condon, landscapes and interiors, titled 'Lightness of Being'.
