As an emerging artist having exhibited in several group exhibitions, my painting style for portraits and still life is Realist, while my landscapes are more Impressionist, particularly inspired by Gustav Klimt. Over the past decade I have attended workshops and classes with various tutors in local art societies. I also paint traditional Byzantine icons in tempera and attend a Melbourne based Icon School. I teach acrylic painting at Hastings U3A.
My blended background of realist oil painting and Iconography has led to a desire to at times apply different techniques to various mediums and to challenge some traditional practices. My career has combined a literary stream with social work.
