I’ve been painting since my early teens and have always found the methods by which we arrive at a finished painting fascinating. My first training came from my father’s studio in Kyneton Victoria in the traditional tonal method . Later I was able to study a more impressionistic style with a Russian art professor which I enjoyed. Combining the two styles has led me to a very expressive style, reminiscent of the Heidelberg School of oil painting, which allows me to paint freely in a manner that represents nature and the feel of the moment in time in which the picture was painted.
