Carsten Frederiksen

Biography

Carsten Segerlund Frederiksen is a painter with a passion for abstract art and experimentation. Born in Denmark, Carsten now lives in Melbourne, Australia. Carsten is a member of the Hawthorn Artist Society and a student at artist Richard Birmingham’s Melbourne Studio School (MSS) specializing in Lyrical Abstract Expressionism. He is also a Climate Scientist and Environmentalist whose love for the environment and concern for the impact of climate change on the environment has inspired many of his landscape paintings of the Australian environment. He is currently working on a series of landscape paintings with the theme “The Sense of a Landscape”, in various experimental abstract expressionist styles (see https://www.csfrederiksen.art) .
