Artist bio

Prospective buyers often ask for background information on artists. Within the Artist's personal file on the web site is the opportunity to provide your CV, artistic experience, academic training and any further details of interest to buyers. Artists are encouraged to do this to promote themselves and motivate sales.

Free entry

All applicants receive free entry on Artists' Day, Monday 29th June 2020 (paid entry at other times).

Stretchered canvas is considered framed but must have rigid and adequate cross members. Each work must be fitted with substantial hanging wire or heavy-duty cord and 'flush D hangers.' Hangers which protrude, e.g. 'eye hooks' and which can damage other works when stored are not acceptable. The apex of the hanging wire or cord should be approximately 7.5 cm below the top of the frame.

Works that are not acceptable

Works of beaten metal, 3D, painted porcelain or ceramic, photographs, digitally enhanced artwork, 'worked' prints, prints including linocuts, monoprints, stencils, etc., etchings, pokerwork, pyrography, textile art works, bark arrangements, plaster relief work, unprotected tempera or wet paintings or works of a like nature of the above (as determined by the Club in its absolute discretion), are not acceptable.

Category 3: Hobby artists who are neither required to have an ABN nor GST registration will not include GST in their selling price and will not have an amount withheld for PAYG tax purposes from painting sales proceeds provided this category details are completed and this declaration is signed. The supply is made to you in my capacity as an individual, and the supply is made in the course of an activity that is a private recreational pursuit or hobby.

Category 4: Overseas entrants are advised to contact the Club by mail or e-mail for advice.
